Re: Broken Download Counters |
Hi there ppl. Simon is the best! but i dont know if the people at info@archives will answer. In fact we wrote them several times without any succes.
We were thinking that maybe we can send a collective mail to them. We have created a mail account:
brokencounters@gmail.com
If you are intrested send a mail to that adress, we will give you the password, and then, all togheter we can composite a mail and send to the admins.
What do you think?

Re: Broken Download Counters |
We are having the same problem.
All our counters are set to zero and not updating at all.
I think it would be a good idea, like Gorrion sugested, to send an e-mail in name of everyone.
Cheers,
PS

Fwding this thread (was Re: Broken Download Counters) |
Hey guys,
This is really embarrassing for the Archive, but as you folks may have spotted, I don't have any control over the code of the site, and for whatever reason I can't get anyone to answer me on what the problem is, and when it will be fixed.
Am forwarding this massive thread to the Archive's coders and owners to see if I can get any answers.
Thanks,
Simon.

Re: Broken Download Counters |
Well, Simon already told the admins and i think once its solved, it will be solved for all collections coz this might very well be due to database failure of some sort.
If some oen of arhive would just respond that would be wonderful though.
Also i think it has more impact if they recieve multiple mials instead of one from many people

Re: Broken Download Counters |
My most downloaded items are nowhere on the top downloads list. Some weird songs no one likes are in the top lists for the day, week, month and all time. I hope instead of enjoying a nice weekend the folks behind the curtain will spend frustrating hours eyeballing code to find the problem... I would check back during the work week to see if they are back on track. For me, seppuku may be my only option.
